Tsukuru is the creative practice of artist and designer Carly Hitchcock. Born in South Africa and raised in New Zealand, the Ballarat-based artist draws inspiration from the diverse places she’s lived in, including Japanese Sometsuke pottery, and Korean Minhwa folk art. These influences are woven into poetic paintings and hand-stitched textile works which explore natural forms and emotional landscapes.
